Big Dog Water Fountain!!

The cats love the freshest waters in their fountain upstairs... so we bought a second fountain for downstairs! It's the Big Dog fountain from Drinkwell, and it's huge!!

The cats love it but, ironically, the dog is afraid of it......

Michael on Memorial Day Weekend!

Michael came over for Memorial Day weekend

We had an amazing meal with lots of steak on the grill, and lots of good beer!

Taco had a great time playing in the yard and hunting birds :)

Vacation Day 6 - Miami International Airport

Friday we did self-disembarkation around 9:30 a.m., flew through customs and got a cab to the Miami airport. Since we were so early (our flight didn't leave until 3:50 p.m.), we tried to get an earlier flight.... unfortunately no luck there...

So after hanging out in the airport for almost 6 hours, we learned that thunderstorms in Chicago would delay our departure from Miami. Our plane finally left around 7:15....

We got into Chicago around 9:00 local time and were rebooked on a 9:45 flight to Indy, which didn't leave the ground until 11:30. At 2:00 a.m., we finally arrived back in Indy - four and a half hours later than our planned arrival. At least we were home, with two days to rest before we head back to work :)

Vacation Day 5 - Great Stirrup Cay

Thursday we were tendered at Great Stirrup Cay, the Norwegian Cruise Line's private island.

Not a lot of activities on Stirrup Cay, but plenty of relaxing opportunities!

Back on the ship, we had our final formal dinner.

Vacation Day 4 - Nassau

Wednesday we docked in Nassau

This was our only towel animal of the whole cruise. A snake. Lame.

We ate at Le Bistro, the ship's French restaurant.

Vacation Day 3 - Freeport & Lucaya

On Tuesday, the ship docked at Freeport Bahamas and we took a cab into Port Lucaya


The landscape was beautiful!

We had conch fritters and Bahamian-brewed beer at a local restaurant.

We walked around to the lighthouse and the beaches

We stopped at the Lucaya Subway for a cheap soft drink - not selling out, rehydrating!

Vacation Day 2 - Norwegian Sky

Monday we boarded Norwegian Sky, the ship where we would spend our upcoming week.

We were one of the first people on the ship, so we spent the whole day enjoying the ship's amenities in Miami.

We had dinner at Cagney's Steakhouse on the ship as we pulled away from the dock and headed towards open waters.

Vacation Day 1 - Miami

We flew into Miami on Sunday and checked into the South Beach Marriott for one night. This is the incredible view from our hotel room balcony!!

At lunch, we had huge mojitos!!


The mojitos were pricey, but luckily we could take them to go!


We walked down to South Beach and sat in the sand

We had dinner at a Cuban restaurant

After dinner, we went out for drinks and had a great time :)
